We get more characters and fight a boss.

Malignut Eater summons minions and instantly maxes their ATB so they can act immediately. The squirrels can throw nuts that do decent damage and can cause Shock (Shock halves someone's ATB bar).


Rumia (Youkai of the Dark)

Rumia is similar to what she was in the previous game. She still has Moonlight Ray which is a rather powerful Mystic spell and Dark Side of the Moon is an All Area Dark attack that pierces all defenses. Demarcation can reduce Debuffs as well as heal the entire front row. Stats are not as good as Marisa's but her damage formulas are fantastic and she sports two elements of attack rather than just one. Passive wise, not much to use as Rumia does not stay out to really provide any passive bonuses. Piercing Attack is a must in order to deal with more resistant foes while Youkai's Knowledge gives a bonus against Human opponents (which is majority of the bosses you fight in this game). Oh and she has Synergy with Team 9 (Cirno, Mystia, Wriggle).

Kogasa Tatara (The Cheery Forgotten Umbrella)

Physical attacker that tends to focus on causing Terror. She has an All Area Nature attack that does Terror and Shock, a single target Dark attack that debuffs Mind and does Terror, and a row based Cold attack. Her passives tend to focus towards Terror as well. She can increase her Terror effects and add Terror to all her attacks. She can pierce resistances and get buffs when attacking someone with Terror. Terror can effect many bosses though not all.
