Darn it, I am so late...I've had this episode ready for a couple weeks, but I kept forgetting to upload it and write the description. Well, it's here now.

We are finally going into the fortress stages now. We've defeated all 8 of the Robot Masters, so we know what that means: fortress stage time! Dr. Cossack's fortress has a distinct Russian look to it, and the first stage reflects the location as well, being covered in snow and ice as it is. Beware of pits. The boss is some sort of giant moth that slowly moves up and down and back and forth, shoots at you, and drills holes in the floor. It's not too hard with charged shots, though I don't recall what its weakness is. The biggest problem with the Cossack stages, however, is that for whatever reason, you don't get a second checkpoint in the boss hallway; you must start from the halfway point of the stage. Cossack Stage 1 isn't too bad, though, if you take it slowly and carefully.
