In this time management game everything depends on your defense strategy! You have a number of zombie-killing plants at your disposal which can entrap evil invaders. Organize them in a certain way to protect your house. If zombies pass through the yard your brain will be fried and eaten! But don't panic, brace yourself up! Your strategy skills and logic can easily beat slow-witted corpses.
Stage 1 - Day
Gameplay: Welcome to Plants vs. Zombies, a tower-defense type of strategy game. In this game, goal is to survive against the attacks of Zombies. First stage is very easy, and it serves as a tutorial to get you familiar with the game. Plants you get in Day levels are next: Peashooter that shoot peas at zombies, Sunflower that give you 25 sun, and is a must-have planet in every situations, more sunflowers you have, more plants you can plant, Cherry Bomb that instantly kills all zombies in a small area, Wall-nut that protects your plants, Potato Mine that instantly kills a zombie that touches it under the condition that is armed on time, Snow Peas that shoot frozen peas zombies that slow them down and Repeater that shoots two peas at once. Zombies you will encounter in the Day levels are Regular Zombie which is slow and fragile, Flag Zombie that marks that a huge pile or wave of zombies is coming (you will receive a special message and see a red-colored text "A huge wave of zombies is approaching), Conehead Zombie that is twice as durable as Regular one, Pole-Vaulting Zombie that is also tougher than Regular one and can vault over the first plant in his way, and Buckethead Zombie that is five times as durable as Regular one, making him tougher to kill than other ones. Conehead and Buckethead Zombies will be reduced to Regular Zombies when their hats are removed by the shots of your plants. Every fifth level is a minigame of some sort, while every tenth level is a conveyor-belt level where no plant costs in sun, which makes sun-producing plants absent.
