It's safe to say that the third episode has been quite a challenge at points and while I haven't died very much in the game so far, I get the feeling that's going to change quite quickly. The new foe the game has added is very dangerous, especially when you don't have anywhere good to hide or you're being distracted by other foes rushing you. Add to that the game throwing more and more fiends and death knights at me at a moments notice and you've got a recipe for chaos.

This chaos isn't going to calm down in the fourth episode, either. The first level of it is a tricky one, throwing a lot of enemies at multiple elevations at you, all while you're scrambling for cover and trying to familiarise yourself with the level. Ammunition for your shotgun is easy to come by but gone is the weapon generosity we've grown so used to in the earlier stages of the game. By the fourth episode, Quake is done being generous and now we have to work for every little thing we can scrounge for.
