Join me as I dive into a tale set five years after the Republic's transformation into the Empire and the devastating Great Jedi Purge. Our protagonist, Cal Kestis, a former Padawan, is leading a hidden life on the planet Bracca, working as a scrapper salvaging ships from the Clone Wars. But Cal's peaceful existence shatters when an Imperial probe exposes his Force abilities while saving his friend, Prauf.
The Empire, fearing the return of Jedi, sends two formidable Inquisitors, the Second Sister and the Ninth Sister, to hunt down Cal. Tragedy strikes when the Second Sister mercilessly kills Prauf for daring to speak against the Empire. Determined to survive, Cal must escape the clutches of the Inquisitors. Fortunately, fate intervenes as former Jedi Knight Cere Junda and the quirky pilot Greez Dritus come to Cal's aid aboard their ship, the Stinger Mantis. Together, they form an unlikely alliance and venture to the mysterious planet Bogano, guided by Cere's belief that Cal can unlock an ancient vault.
On this treacherous quest, Cal finds an adorable and resourceful little droid companion named BD-1, who reveals a crucial message left by Cere's former Master, Eno Cordova. The message discloses the vault's origin, built by an enigmatic civilization known as the Zeffo. Inside the vault lies a Jedi Holocron—a powerful artifact containing a list of Force-sensitive children, hidden by Cordova himself.
