You are Captain Thomas Welmu, a science officer for Spacefleet tasked with getting some power cells from a secret location to Earth in order to stop it's destruction by The Union's star-exploding super weapon. Sadly (but not shockingly) something goes wrong and you are flung to the Outer Reaches and forced to figure out a way back. Will you use diplomacy? Guile? Brutality? The choices are yours, and they are many. No one's asking too many questions either way, so it's all down to how you want to handle the situations that come up. Choose wisely.

Honestly, this game is intriguing as heck. It's got the helper function of seeing interactables that I loved from Unforeseen incidents, it's got Indiana Jones-style map travel, it's got adventure gaming, it's got space combat, it's got an economy, and it's got Tough Choices. In addition to all of that, the musics great, the art is lovely, and the writing (aside from a few grammatical errors) is really enjoyable.

Extremely big shoutout though to the fact that if/when you replay the game, you can fast-track through previous endings that you've already unlocked, cutting down your replay time considerably. That's honestly wonderous.

I'm looking forward to how I accidentally murder other people trying to be a decent human.
