Let's Play The Elder Scrolls Arena Blind - Part 65 - Spawning Death
Continuing our adventure through the Imperial Palace, we have made it to the third floor. Being yet another dungeon level that we need to explore, we spend a lot of time wandering around aimlessly and avoiding treasure that the game keeps wanting to give me.
This floor is more painful than the other two were, mainly due to the fact that the place keeps lying to me about the exact number of enemies in a location. Throughout this part, I keep trying to rest in various spots, only to find out that more things wanted to spawn in a particular area. With everything being something deadly such as a Fire Daemon or a Lich, that doesn't exactly help the situation.
Speaking of Liches, they definitely are a lot more prevalent here. Luckily I have improved my strategies since Dagoth-Ur, meaning I am better at spamming potions against them and using Resist Shock to not die instantly. Who knows if I would be able to make it through this place without Resist Shock, I don't even want to think of the struggles I would probably have.
Mostly this floor is made up of two routes leading to the fourth floor, with a lot of pointless excursions that allow us to check out a bunch of random prisons filled with deadly things at every turn. As usual, I end up spending a lot more time here than I probably could have if I just focused on going forward, since I decide to clear the entire floor.
Eventually our task is complete and I return to prepare for the fourth floor, which is the most floors we have ever seen in a dungeon. If I had to make a guess, I would believe that the two doors are going to meet up in a general location and that we are going to have some sort of direct route leading to the boss fight with Jagar Tharn. Unless we have a fifth floor here, or the first floor wasn't a real dungeon, we are pretty much ready for the final floor of the game.
Of course, then I decide to stop the stream for the time being. I had been recording for over six hours (from part 60 to here) and didn't want my headphone batteries failing me during the final battle of the game. Plus the fact that I usually tend to get worn out as I go along, I would rather be fresh and active with my commentary for that final part. In any event, assuming I am correct, the next part will either be the final part or will show me dying a bunch to Jagar Tharn. Only time will tell...
