Heading back to Daggerfall, I decide to start reading some books against my better judgment. We have read two books so far, not counting the terrible play we need to find all the parts of (one of the reasons I was even encouraged into reading all these ironically enough). One about a random story where a shop in front of a palace resorted in cannibalism of a magic wombat. The other was Grandma's story to young children participating in orgies, telling them about better times when young people died due infringing on Romeo and Juliet's copyrights.

Looking online to get a number of books that we must read so that I can keep tally, there are apparently sixty. With only fifty-eight to go, this might take a while, but we start by reading about the Crystal Tower. We also learn that Ricky panicked when he saw animals and murdered them, but they were actually people in costumes. Retcons are making Ricky even more insane than he already was!

We then get to read about an amazing Warlock. He is much better than you or me. He was amazing and he walked places. He often was told he was too good for their places. Only the best stories to be found in Daggerfall, those that will humble you by telling you how absolutely worthless you are in comparison to imaginary wizards.

We also got an old guy that decided to tell the tale of Elder Scrolls Arena, one that few remember. Except that he forgot to tell us that story and instead rambles about the creation of the universe. Mostly he talks about light and its absence and that we need to be prepared to battle against pitch blackness when we forget to pay the light bill. The kids know he is crazy, but humor him because he is going to die soon and then they can escape the old man's plan to quiz the children in a few years on this random story.

Getting bored of books, I stop at 5 total and decide to head to the palace before we forget that we need to go there. While en-route there, someone with the rose of Wayrest gives us a card that we don't hold or have in our inventory. Heading to the Daggerfall palace, we find absolutely nobody of use and I end up feeling like we wasted our time with this return.

We decide to go back to the Wayrest palace since we got that card, where we find a lot of random quests that are pointless and possibly a quest to actually progress in the game. I don't actually bother with it however, deciding that we will tackle all of this in another session after resting from all of the confusion. Pretty much, all we did was read and travel between palaces pointlessly due to nothing getting logged that should be logged.
