In this episode, Kidman is brought back to a familiar house from her past. It is here we learn that her parents, too, were enthralled by the cult-like church from Reuben's past. Kidman then spots Leslie nearby, but he does not heed her call to stop, and disappears beyond a suddenly appearing door. After restoring the angel statue from her hometown using her flashlight, she is able to follow Leslie. Leslie briefly transforms into Ruvik, an allusion to the fact they share brainwave patterns, but Kidman, undaunted, tells Leslie she will protect him and take him to the church. They are disrupted by one half of the giant twins, but Kidman sneaks by with ease, and the pair head for the church.

Once inside, Ruvik appears and attacks Kidman by controlling Leslie. She points her gun at Leslie but before she has the chance to pull the trigger, both Leslie and Ruvik disappear. The Administrator then asks her what she is doing, and tells her they need Leslie alive. Kidman responds that this is not possible and that they don't know what Ruvik is capable of. With her betrayal now set in motion, The Administrator chases her, forcing her to run. Kidman escapes, but the nightmare is far from over.
