In this episode Sebastian continues his search for Kidman. Finding her overwhelmed by Haunted and trapped on a balcony, he rushes to her aid. After defeating the creatures that threatened his partner, Sebastian and Kidman do a little catching up, but are interrupted by Sebastian seemingly becoming a Haunted and attacking Kidman. A gunshot rings out, and Sebastian awakens sometime later confused about what has happened. Kidman informs him that he started to turn and attacked her, and that she views him as tainted. She makes it clear that she plans to continue working alone, and leaves Sebastian behind in a locked room. Soon thereafter, Leslie shows up and frees Sebastian, but flees while screaming for help before Sebastian can get through the jammed door. As he makes his way further through the crumbling city, Sebastian spots Joseph a long way off. Determined to find him, Sebastian makes his way though the maze-like environment, and finally catches back up to his partner.
