Sooner or later, Jim is going to go from being a baby to a child and when he goes, a few big changes are going to need to happen. Most importantly, Dave and Yvette are going to need to make their house bigger so that Jim can have a bedroom of his own and that's going to mean a hefty expenditure of money to make that happen. Building a second flood will be even more expensive due to the need for some stairs but in the long run, buying that while they have money to freely spend on it is better then having to save up later. They're also going to need to shift things around in the kitchen/dining/living room so that all three of them can eat at once, which may require selling a few things that they aren't using.

They're going to need to sell a lot of things in general, as unlike his brother, Dave doesn't have a circumstantial thirty thousand to spend on his house and taking alternate days off to tend for Jim hasn't helped in that regard. Fortunately, building their son's bedroom is the majority of the expenditure and after that, they can start saving up again for their next big purchase. What that is will depend entirely on Jim's personality and is very likely to be a super expensive computer for him to play on.

Either that or a far less powerful PC like my first one was, forcing Jim to play far older games that would work on the hardware. I'm sure that won't influence his taste in games in later life at all.
