Let's Play the Stanley Parable Demonstration 01: How to Make the Perfect Demo
What makes a perfect demo for a video game?
Is it simply a matter of taking a segment of the game's beginning and having that as a standalone game of it's own? Is it better to provide the player with control or to show them with videos and and automated tutorials what they're to expect in an upcoming video game? Are high quality and polished trailers sufficient or should you only use in-game footage with no extra gloss and shine?
In this video, some of these questions will be addressed. Maybe. Possibly. Perhaps. Okay, we've no idea if any of these questions will be answered but hey, at least we'll get to see something of what the game is like, right?
Right?
This video was recorded hours before I came down with a nasty cold and so my voice is a little strained during it. Apologies for that.
