Continuing on from the previous part, I ramble about how long it's been since I last recorded for this let's play, and then eventually head back to waterfall to visit temmie village.
The locals here are strange, to say the least!
They all speak in awkward text speak and come across as very weird.
After talking to everyone there, and buying something at the shop, I head to hotland.
Upon entering a laboratory in hotland, it becomes clear that we are being watched!
After walking forward a bit, we run into Dr. Alphys.
They are shocked that we are here so soon, and reveal that they have been observing us from a distance for a good while.
Seeing how we deal with battles, Dr. Alphys ended up wanting to help us out rather than capture us.
But despite that, they did make a robot to capture us before they changed their mind.
This robot ends up busting into the scene like the kool-aid man to attack us!
But they don't attack us in the way you'd expect!
Instead, they force us into a quiz show where we have to answer the questions correctly in order to not die.
The questions start off easy, but get ridiculously hard out of nowhere as the quiz show goes on!
One question in this quiz show leads to Dr. Alphys going on a ramble about some anime or manga.
After the quiz show robot, Mettaton, scolds her for trying to help us with the question, they ask one final question.
And that question is who does Dr. Alphys have a crush on.
I pick us, which turns out to be the right answer!
The robot then leaves, but promises to be back later.
With that boss fight over, Dr. Alphys upgrades our phone so that she can text us, and then runs away to the bathroom after saying that we are friends now.
I then look around the lab to find out more about Dr. Alphys.
Based on their reading material, it sounds like Dr. Alphys is probably an otaku.
After looking around, I head further into hotland.
I get a few texts from Dr. Alphys as I go, revealing that they will try to guide us through this area. (I also call Papyrus to see what he and Undyne have to say about this area.)
After getting through a random encounter with a new enemy, I get to the next save point and save the game.
I then have the video end with some original music I made a while ago using my midi keyboard, and the other piece just being a guitar solo I improvised earlier in the day that I recorded this part. (I had video of the protagonist spacing out with Napstablook play during this to fit the music!)
