Als Putress den erwünschten Effekt erzielt hat, verwandelt sich seine Assistentin in Varimathras, schlägt in nieder und greift die Hauptstadt der Verlassenen an.
Sylvanas, die davon erfahren hat, kann nur wenig ausrichten gegen diesen Überraschungsangriff und sie kann auch nichts weiter tun als ihrem Volk dem Schreckenslord auszuliefern.
Während ihre Truppen den Vorsprung aufhalten, flieht die Dunkle Lady nach Kalimdor um Hilfe bei Thrall, dem Kriegshäuptling der Horde, zu suchen...

Meanwhile in the Undercity, the high apothecary Putress is testing his experiments as usual. His assistant Phaelynne helps him to perfect the new plague he is developing. When Putress has achieved the desired effect, his assistant transforms into Varimathras, knocks him out, and attacks the Forsaken capital.
Sylvanas, having learned of this, can do little against this surprise attack, and all she can do is hand her people over to the Dreadlord.
With her troops holding off the assailant, the Dark Lady flees to Kalimdor to seek help from Thrall, the Horde warchief...
