Varimathras wird von Sylvanas in den Silberkieferwald entsendet, um die Offensive gegen den Scharlachroten Kreuzzug voranzutreiben. Dort angekommen, wird der Schreckenslord von Orks angegriffen und muss diese Plage loswerden, bevor er sich wichtigeren Dingen widmen kann. Wie der Zufall es so will steckt auch Putress, der Hochapotheker der Verlassenen, in einer Zelle von einem Orkclan fest. Und es wird noch schlimmer, die Oger die sich mit den Orks verbündet haben, besetzten Alterac-Stadt und nutzen ihre Resourcen um sie zu versorgen. Sollte dies alles erledigt sein, müssen sich die Verlassenen den größen Clan annehmen und deren Basis auslöschen. Anschließend können Varimathras und Putress ihren Weg nach Sylvanas fortsetzen.

Varimathras is dispatched by Sylvanas to Silverpine Forest to further the offensive against the Scarlet Crusade. Once there, the dreadlord is under attack by orcs and must get rid of this plague before he can move on to more important matters. As luck would have it, Putress, the High Apothecary of the Forsaken, is also stuck in a cell belonging to an orc clan. To make matters worse, the ogres, allied with the orcs, have occupied Alterac City and are using their resources to support them. Once this is all done, the Forsaken must take on the largest clan and wipe out their base. Then Varimathras and Putress can continue their way to Sylvanas.
