159Ignoring that our choice isn’t actually a choice at all, we’ve took a look at the evidence in the NSF base and decided to throw our lot in with them and Paul. Now that we’re enemies of UNATCO like him, the killswitch is ticking down for us too, though it’s only just started in our case. We need to get out of the city and away to safety and what safer place is there then with Tracer Tong, one of Paul’s allies?
There’s just one minor, teeny tiny thing stopping us from making a clean getaway: UNATCO. They know where Paul is, where we are and where we likely intend to go. They have no intention of letting us escape and have more than enough manpower and ordinance to make that happen. Perhaps, if we’re very careful and even more lucky, both JC and Paul might slip away before they can ensnare us in their net.
That or everything is going to go very wrong very quickly. Guess which is going to happen.
