So... Daily Chthonicle takes place in a Cthulhu-enriched world where you run a news publication writing stories about all the weird things going on in the town. Your job is to organize your reporters to go out and investigate locations to get clues and crack the case. These investigations can involve subterfuge, combat, or highschool-level aerobics. There's item management, crafting, and a time mechanic and honestly? I had no idea what what going on. The interface is wildly busy (and being in low-res did not help), there's a whole mess of mechanics that you just get thrown into, and it's basically impossible to keep track of everything that's going on. It's got some really neat ideas, but they do not come together in the end, which is a damned shame.

Ryza Roads is a driving/racing game that has just the right amount of jank to make it both bad, and also an utter delight to play. You do races and time trials to make money, which you can then turn around and buy better cars with. There are cars, boats, a helicopter, and a plane all available for you to pilot with varying degrees of ability. The physics are touchy, the steering is touchy, and it's all just a bit absurd. There are also cheats that do a variety of things in and to the world around you, and even collectables and achievements. Honestly? I had an absolute blast playing this game.
