It's the Indie Game Wednesday roundup for Wednesday, March 31th, 2021.
Trash the Planet is an incrementals game that turns the whole narrative on its head, and makes you feel bad at the end. Or at least that's what it's aiming for. I had a bit of a disconnect with the main... racoon... given that we can see the abyss that things are sliding into, and there's not really any way to stop it. It's frustrating, but that's, you know, storytelling I guess! I just had a disconnect between the main character and the obvious villain and the wild level of obliviousness.
Rogue Rocks is Asteroids, but with zone traversal and level up mechanics. It's really quite enjoyable, actually. Having to strike the balance between holding your money vs spending for upgrades, and trying to push the clock as far as it can go is a great experience. It's a tight game that punishes you for bad play. Oh and the soundtrack absolutely slaps.
