0I picked this up in the massive itch.io bundle. I... don't know what this was. This feels very much like someone wanted to make art, did so, and then put it out there expecting people to just get it. Perhaps people do! I ... I did not. In the video I say that this feels like the person who made this was up their own butt with it being Big Art. That is unkind of me. Just because I don't understand the intent of the work doesn't mean I should say that.
The visual treatment of this game is something. It's extremely PS1-era, which I actually really dig. I think it helps add to the unease the game's working to generate. The visuals are unsettling (by design), though every time text was flashed onto the screen, it unfortunately didn't stick around long enough for me to be able to parse.
The whole experience takes 20 minutes or so, and it sure is an experience. I'm just not sure what it was I was supposed to get from it. The whole thing feels like an extremely early 80's art horror piece.
I just wish I knew what the hell just happened.
