LIFE IS STRANGE | Episode 5: Polarized, Part 5
2I don't know how this episode made me feel.
Very uncomfortable is one, I guess. Like badly written teenage erotica. And of course its a very fucked up situation. Life is strange? Life is insane more like. Just falling in and out of time, stuck in a fucked up fever dream as everything is twisted and distorted further from reality. If Max had never gotten her power, she never would have had that weird flash-forward to the tornado. If she did't have that flash forward, she would have had no reason to head to the bathroom probably and Chloe would most likely have died. But I think the tornado would have still persisted, that and all the environment disasters, those permeate all realities. So, she'd have no way to warn it.
Actually, come to think of it, the original timeline must have been the darkest timeline.
Chloe was shot and most likely died. Whether or not the shot was heard and Nathan was caught is irrelevant, although I guess in our current playthrough Nathan is dead and if he got caught he would be in jail. Then Max would find out and maybe start the investigation by herself? With a lot less leads so it would go no where. Also, Kate Hudson would guaranteed commit suicide- the only reason Max got up there in time was her powers. After that, I don't think there would be any deaths or major events until thursday evening. With that, Victoria would for sure be drugged and kidnapped while Max only might be. And again, without her powers, Max would be unable to do anything and would end up dead as well. After, the tornado hits Arcadia bay and all those people Max saved as she made her way to the diner have no one to save them.
Aka, almost everyone in the original timeline dies.
Hell, even David Madsen would, if he was still able to figure out where the Dark Room was without Max's help.
It still bugs me- why did she get her powers? They make no sense in the context of the universe, and I guess that's the point, that the don't make sense and her having them is messing up all of reality.
I really just don't know. Well, here is to eventually figuring it out, I guess. Or watching EVERY THEORY VIDEO EVER after I finish this playthrough so that I have some idea what is going on.
