Playing windows games on Linux using Wine:
Unreal Tournament
I've recorded the windows version as the Linux native one's is using oss (and I haven't found a way to record oss audio yet).
** How to Unreal Tournament on wine **
-To use opengl
Edit the UnrealTOurnament.ini file within the system folder:
GameRenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
-If the game is running to fast
In the UnrealTOurnament.ini file add a framerate limit under the opengl section:
[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]
FrameRateLimit=100
-To use custom resolution
Edit the UnrealTOurnament.ini file within the system folder:
[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
WindowedViewportX=1280
WindowedViewportY=720
WindowedColorBits=32
FullscreenViewportX=1280
FullscreenViewportY=720
FullscreenColorBits=32
** How to Native Linux Unreal Tournament **
-If you got no sound at all:
edit UnrealTournament.ini
replace AudioDevice=ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem
with AudioDevice=Audio.GenericAudioSubsystem
then, launch the game using :
aoss ./ut-bin
-If the game is complaigning about openal :
ln -s /usr/lib32/libopenal.so *path to UT*/System/
OS : Archlinux rolling release ( http://www.archlinux.org )
Wine : Wine 1.5.30 ( http://www.winehq.org )
Video Capture : GLC 0.5.8-4 ( https://github.com/nullkey/glc/wiki )
Audio Capture : parec ( www.pulseaudio.org )
