Little bit of Half-Life: Source gameplay on Half-Life's 25th anniversary
So I wanted to make a Half-Life-related video for the game's 25th anniversary, and this is the best I can do right now, since I'm currently doing id content and am far from finishing up with it at the time of posting. I've had plans to do gameplays of Valve games once I'm done with the id stuff, so hope to see me after I'm done with the id Software games.
But yeah, as part of the anniversary, I decided to record some clips of the opening chapters of Half-Life: Source with the Half-Life But The Plot Is Slightly Different audio mod by Deadwater Gaming slapped on. Yeah, it does work on HL:S as well, just create a "custom" folder in the game's directory and just throw the sound files in there. I also tried doing it on the WON version of Half-Life, but I don't think it's possible because of the sound files being in the .pak files. Oh well. I don't really think this video could be considered a follow-up to the video I posted earlier.
But yeah, lemme say this: I do like Half-Life: Source. They did their best at bringing us their debut title to a newer game engine, so I respect that. I honestly had fun playing the game, and I really hate that the reason why many people hate it now is because of all the glitches that came up when the game was ported to SteamPipe. The game should still be enjoyable, even if it's just for funsies or people want more Garry's Mod content. Of course the game's unlisted now, but I'm glad it doesn't stop people from getting it. But it's still orzable since I think people are gonna be happy that they did so.
