In Logic Volcano you'll face 3 champion level digimon, it's for the best if you also have 2 champions yourself. Birdramon and Meramon are straightforward. Kyuubimon requires you to solve a riddle, if get it wrong you'll have to fight Kyuubimon + its clones in battle. Pick the Kyuubimon that mentions "X sheets to the wind. Two's company, X's a crowd. X strikes and you're out" or pick the wrong option if you want to fight the clones alongside the real Kyuubimon for some more money and tamer exp.
When you've beaten Birdramon you'll also be able to recruit Biyomon in the Nigh Plains. The other two will join eventually once you progress through the story some more.
When you reach Taomon you'll be tasked with planting a seed. Get in a couple fights with Black Garurumon or head back to the Nigh Plains. Recruit Biyomon on the way to Power Plant #2, there you'll be able to plant the seed. Now you have to wait 24 in-game hours before you can continue. Get in some training or exploration in the meantime. You'll find Rina further along the Forest Path, she'll have several quests for you. Be sure to store all the regular digistalks you find, because you'll need 30 for one of her quests later on. Make sure to visit Mod Cape as well so you can fly with Birdramon to this location later on. It's also a good time for fishing. Later on, Renamon will request a Digicarp and Seadramon will request a Digikoi, Digicrucian, and Digifry. So keep these stored till you need them, if you find them (fishing is rng). If the 24 hours haven't passed yet, you can train in the gym for some statgains while you pass the time more quickly.
