This is the longplay of the game Shinobi, action and platform game released for Arcades in 1987 and then for home consoles. Produced by Yutaka Sugano, its recognition led to the creation of several ports for both Sega and third-party consoles, such as the NES, Turbografx-16 and computers. This is the Arcade version.

In the 1980s, ninjas dominated pop culture, whether in movies, comics, and games. So it's no surprise that a game like Shinobi was successful at the time.

In Shinobi, the player controls Joe Musashi, who fights to defeat a criminal group and rescue children from his ninja clan, the Oboro. Musashi goes through five missions, subdivided into three stages each, until he reaches the enemy hideout, freeing the hostages before facing the Masked Ninja.
In the game, the hero is able to throw shurikens from a long distance and use his sword when close to enemies (being very useful against enemies who use shields) and there is little care, because if the player is hit, he dies instantly. The Ninja has a power, called Jitsu, but it is only possible to use once per stage, in addition to receiving an upgrade in shurikens when it is near the end of the stage. Between stages, the player receives a bonus stage, where he needs to hit all enemy ninjas with shurikens and if successful, he gets an extra life.

Without a doubt, Shinobi is a game that represents the time of the 80s, being a great success of SEGA and giving rise to the Shinobi franchise, which would become even more popular on the Mega Drive.
I hope you enjoy the video.
