This is a longplay from the game Gradius, a horizontal shooting game released in 1985, initially for Arcades and soon ported to other platforms, such as NES, MSX, PC Engine and others.
The name of the game Gradius is also the name of the theme planet of the game, a planet that is inhabited by an alien race called Gradians, although Earth also participates in the game's plot, it is the planet Gradius that stands out in the plot.
In the distant future, humans and dangerous alien races face off against the resources of the planets of the universe. Among the enemies of humans are vacterions, power-hungry aliens who want to continue to conquer other worlds and enslave their inhabitants. However, representatives of several planets, including Earth, and a planet called Gradius, decide to collaborate with each other and send each warrior representing their race in spaceships with weapons and ammunition to face the vacterions.
The player controls the transdimensional spaceship Vic Viper, and must fight waves of enemies across different environments and scenarios. Gradius is distinguished for popularizing a weapon selection bar called "Power Meter", based on collecting capsules to 'acquire' additional weaponry. This game is part of one of Konami's most famous series.
