Lost Frontier | OBSIDIAN: Infiltration Inquiry | No Failure Runs | Part 1
Thought for a while on what kind of run I'm gonna be trying to do today. It's interesting that Lost Frontier significantly changes play-style wise in long stretches compared to HDest due to all the upgrades that you can get on the road. Maybe it's time for me to try out a multi map run to see what LFrontGuy's capable of when fully powered both in body and equipment, hmm? 'Sides, I don't think we've seen an inquisitor yet in this mod, might be good to catch some footage of that big ol' grenade launching metal bear.
The dev for the mod has gotten me a key remover script for map changes. Might be a bit of a random statement, but it's actually quite convenient for multi map runs done in OBSIDIAN since due to its experimental nature, it still currently works around Doom map logic in some areas. Strife allows you to carry keys through map changes, so it's possible for me to use a key from the last map to the next one. Bit funky if the exit is right next to the entrance with only a locked door between them, a locked door I already have the key for.
I don't mind map cheesing myself, enjoying it greatly in HDest with busting and even here with Freemode installed, but having a key acquired from the first map somehow open a door seven maps away later seems a bit wacky, so having to properly look for 'em again without forcing myself to is appreciated.
