In this segment, I get:

-A heart piece from another mountainside
-I rescue a helpless blacksmith (if you turn into something that reflects your heart, what does frog represent exactly?)
-I get my sword tempered; I could simply exit and re-enter to have my sword finish tempering, but that's no fun! Time for some adventure!
-I snag the chest and pound in some pegs for another heart piece
-I get the fourth bottle out of the chest. If I really cared, I'd probably have just used the third bottle that I uselessly wasted with a bee.

I have an item ready for almost everything. Ice Rod for the Blue Soldiers, Arrows for the pigs (no damage from the Ice Rod), bombs for the One-eyed Giants. Everything except the bee that comes out of that bush twice. In hindsight, it would have been rather funny to actually get some use out of the Bug-Catching net, but I didn't think of it, so I ended up running away from the weakest enemy in the game like a coward. I grab the Cape though.

The Cape is invincibility, which makes it extremely useful. But that invincibility lasts a while. It would actually make the rest of this run (particularily the boss fights, which can be ended in about two minutes before the cape runs out) rather lame, to be honest...let's just not use it then! I'm only going to use it to gather two things that I absolutely need it for. Those things will, in turn, never be used either, since one is a heart piece and the other is another invincibility item.
