Lunar Knights Stream Archive, Part 1
Well, here's a pretty neat little game. A spiritual successor to the Boktai series, removing the solar sensor the DS couldn't facilitate in favor of a more robust in-game time and weather system. The gameplay is also much more action-oriented, where you're still rewarded for sneaking and ambushing, but it's far less essential to the experience, outside of some specific points where it's useful.
The design is fairly straightforward and enjoyable, but with a couple specific rough spots here and there. It mostly comes down to "dogs, and 2 or 3 maps where it's super easy to slip off edges."
Seriously, heck dogs in this game.
The story is pretty cute, and far more anime than the series has been up to this point, which is saying something. Personalities are pretty simple, and many cliche, but that's kind of the point of the storytelling direction, which is pretty overall unserious, kind of like a Disgaea story, but perhaps a little bit less extreme.
All in all, a pretty enjoyable experience. Would recommend. Broadcasted live on Twitch -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/facetraccoon
