Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a Metroidvania platformer developed by Moon Studios for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. The game is published by Xbox Game Studios. Announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2017, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest.

Ori and his family have taken in and raised Kuro's surviving child, "Ku." However, Ku's right wing is deformed, making it impossible to fly for the first time. Ori gives Ku Kuro's feather, thus enabling her to fly for the first time. Overconfident with their success, the two fly to the unknown territory of Niwen, which lies beyond Nibel, and encounter a violent storm. As a result, they crash and are separated. Ori immediately sets out on a search, unaware of the adventure that awaits him.
The player controls Ori, the avatar of the game series. To progress in the game, players must complete tasks and solve puzzles. The game allows the player to save their progress at any time. As the game progresses, the player, like in its predecessor, determines the avatars' abilities. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is about discovering the mysteries behind the forest "Niwen" and the search for Ori's "true destiny." Some game elements are inspired by Rayman and Metroid.
