Mad Max - I5 4690K & GTX 770 - FPS testing and performance analysis
Greetings, everyone.
Today we have a new video about the newly released game from Avalanche Studios, Mad Max. In this video we’ll test how the game runs on my current rig, as usual, and comment on how well the game is ported to the PC and check all the pertinent graphical and performance settings we can tweak to achieve optimal performance, in case we need that. We’ll be using MSI Afterburner, as usual, to display all the data like FPS, memory used, and so on.
As always, I’ll list my current PC specs over here:
-CPU: i5 4690K@4.4 GHz (Turbo).
-Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger.
-GPU: Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2 GB with no extra OC.
-RAM: 16 GB DDR3@1866, 9-10-9-28.
-Storage: Kingston SSDNow 300, 240 GB where both game and O.S. are installed.
-O.S: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit with latest updates.
As we can see in the video, the PC version of the game runs very well on my system, better than expected honestly, so those of you interested in the game with similar systems as mine, or even inferior ones, will get really decent performance.
Considering I’m running everything at the maximum possible settings, it runs well, pretty fluid, constant frame rate and doesn’t look bad at all, for an open world game.
All things considered, I’m happy with this title, and I can say Avalanche did a very good job bringing the game to all the platforms they did. This gets me pretty excited about their next big game coming in December, Just Cause 3, which I will also play and test here for you, of course.
Hope you all liked the video, and see you in the next one where I’ll put the controls to the test (keyboard-mouse and gamepad) and decide which input method works best in the game.
