Greetings, Witchers.

Today we have a new patch released for all platforms at the same time, v1.07, and it’s huge, around 7 GB if I recall correctly.

The new patch brings us lots of small tweaks, fixes for several quests, a better inventory management, a stash, and so many other small quality of life things that the list is really huge to keep talking about it.

For now, I wanted to make yet another FPS analysis video since this patch seemed to bring us some performance improvements as well.

So, as usual I test things around the same spot I used for my other FPS testing videos I did previously, and also this time used a couple more different places, including Novigrad because there we also have some more CPU load coming in to play.

To be really honest, I could say the numbers I’m getting with the new 1.07 patch are between margin of error compared to my previous data gathered pre-patch, on my system of course. If anything, as shown at the end of the video, the new “low” quality setting for HairWorks makes it possible to enjoy some better hair and fur without going under 30 FPS in most scenarios, something not really possible before this patch running at 1080p on the GTX 770.

As a reminder, here are my current PC specs as of today:

-CPU: i5 4690K@4.4 GHz (Turbo).
-Mobo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger.
-GPU: Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II OC 2 GB with no extra OC (353.30 WHQL driver).
-RAM: 16 GB DDR3@1866, 9-10-9-28.
-Storage: Kingston SSDNow 300, 240 GB where both game and O.S. are installed.
-O.S: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit with latest updates.

I also test briefly the new “alternate” movement setting because I read somewhere people saying it might impact FPS a bit, but they were not 100% sure…and honestly I don’t think it does but you never know, as usual… every PC is different.

If you guys noticed any significant changes with this patch, feel free to share it here, I’m still reading right now on forums and so varied opinions on the matter, some people see improvements, some don’t, etc.
