Immortal Enemy

Max is ready to take on the Gastown races. The Big Chief, the V8 engine, and Hope are on the line. The objective for the first part of this mission is simple: defeat the reigning champion, Stank Gum, then take the spoils. In order to do that, Max will need to pass through many traps and defeat quite a few of Stank Gum's lackeys. 

Here are some tips on how to beat Stank Gum in the race: 

Before starting the race, be sure you have the Magnum Opus' handling and defense up.Take the shortcuts. The two that spray gas will return some HP back to the Magnum Opus.Be careful with the boost. Running into walls is costly. Try to get as many hits on Stank Gum at the beginning of the race as possible. Each lap gets more and more challenging.

Max and Tenderloin have their victory, but they're not done battling yet. Just as they step forward for their prize, they find themselves trapped in the Thunderdome. No questions asked, Tenderloin pulls out her knives and prepares to fight Max. 

This fight is relatively easy. Tenderloin is fast and will dodge most of your attacks, but you can get a slew of hits on her after a perfect counter and at least one hit after she's done charging. Defeat her, then, finally Max can get his precious V8 engine. 

Or not. Because when do things ever go as planned? Here to award Max his prize is his good 'ole friend. This friend will be enraged and immediately attacks Max. The two will finish their tussle in an area below the main stage. Use melee weapons to do heavy damage on the guy. Before the fight can conclude a giant pipe will separate the two combatants. Max now has a chance to get to the Big Chief. 

Defeat the few Scrotus minions and collect the few pieces of scrap you can find. There's also food and water, so be sure to stock up on health before leaving the little area. Max will once again be attacked by his friend. Just like the previous fight, use melee weapons against the brute to quickly take down his health.

A cut scene will end the fight. Max's friend escapes yet again. A very strange cut scene plays at the end of the level.
