Smoke Rises

Chumbucket and Max make their way to Pink Eye's Silo, but Stank Gum's men have made it there first. The pair decide it's in their best interest to help her out. 

Stank Gum's colorful legion is rather weak, so taking out the four vehicles through ramming or by using the Thunderpoon make this task relatively easy. Once you've taken care of those pests, run over the remaining enemies as you take out the three catapults with your harpoon and shotgun. 

Drive toward the marker, defeat the War Boy, then enter the cellar. Shut off the two flame pipes and continue through the path. Be ready to take on some of Stank Gum's Slayers. These enemies rely on fast movements in combat and are relatively good at dodging Max's punches, so rely on evading their attacks and parries to defeat these guys.

There's no counter on the scrap in this mission, so just pick it up as you find it. Continue up through the ruined building till you come to a raised bridge. Grab a thunderstick and use it to kill the guy on the other side of the gap. Use another thunderstick to lower the bridge, but don't run across quite yet. Instead, hang out by the thunderstick rack and grab them as you need them to obliterate the next few enemies.

Head across the bridge, collect the scrap in the area, then climb up the next two sets of ladders. Fill up your canteen then enter the stronghold. Inside Stank Gum is harassing Pink Eye. Max will sneak up on the group and Hope will help Max get the fight started.

Stank Gum unsurprisingly runs, but leaves behind a few good fighters behind. Defeat them and Stank gum will drive away, dragging Hope along with him. Max comes to terms with Pink Eye and is now able to use her resources.
