Mafia II Definitive Edition - Part 14 (100% Completionist, No Deaths, Hard Difficulty)
Continuing the Mafia games trilogy, we move onto Mafia II Definitive Edition. I actually played the original Mafia II game, and the Definitive Edition isn't that much different, except in some graphical tweaks.
Set within the fictional city of Empire Bay, during World War 2 and later early 1950s, the story follows Vito Scaletta and his friend Joe Barbaro, as they work for the crime families of Empire Bay during the said period of time.
Walkthrough logic will follow the same criteria as with all other games I've done thus far: Story Missions are completed without failing or dying during their play and we will collect the Collectibles in these missions (Playboy Magazines mostly, Wanted Posters as I find the time during tasks).
We will also complete the Joe's Adventures DLC pack, because it is related to the main storyline of the game. I was advised by Mafia Reddit to completely avoid the other two DLCs, because they are in no way related to the storyline.
In Part 14, dealing with the gang of greasers and paying Eddie back his $2.000 (which Eddie let Vito keep in the end), Vito is woken up a few weeks later by a phone call from Eddie, who wants to meet with him at the "Maltese Falcon". Informing Vito that a few of Falcone's men have been kidnapped by Luca Gurino, Vito is tasked to follow Luca to their location and save them. And this could mean an entry ticket for Joe and Vito into the Falcone Crime Family.
Content:
0:00 Chapter 9 - Balls & Beans (collecting Wanted Posters, collecting Playboy Magazines #41, #23, #22 and #24)
NOTE: The part where the guys shoot out the greasers' bar, there is a significant framerate drop. I just ignored this, because the damage model in this game was way more advanced that anything at the time. I suspect this is because of the rendering of the glass and materiel being destroyed in that scene.
