I was originally gonna do a no damage run of this stage since damage boosting doesn't really benefit you much. The problem is that it does come into play during the boss. Makes it a lot easier to get hits in on Wood Man if you damage tank a few projectiles. Then I figured the strat towards the end where I Rain Flush the Coltons after using Beat Rescue. That requires me to Blast Wind past a Colton, but it's better than the alternative where I Flame Mixer past the Coltons. Flame Mixer has a hard time dealing with Coltons because they shoot as soon as their bullet disappears which means they'll just keep shooting at you until a bullet manages to sneak past the flames or they die. Often, it's the former.

As for the rest of the stage, I think working with the Tengu Wind is a little janky. Sometimes it feels like it doesn't start up fast enough when you want it to. This really only comes into play at one jump towards the start. There's a jump in the room before the Hot Dog gauntlet where you need the Tengu Wind to help you a little. That jump is really tight because I'm trying to jump as early as I can, but I still need some Tengu Wind.

Another part where Tengu Wind comes into play is the last long room. I intentionally fall down that specific pit because for some reason, when I fall there, the wind picks up really fast. I end up reaching the boss gate faster than if I actually made the jump across the pit. I have no idea why it's like this. Tengu Wind is a little weird. Not excited to be working with it again when I get to that one room in Pandora's Parlor.

There's a double boss fight in this stage. As usual, my opinion is that double boss fights are terrible. But this one is actually not too bad. You can easily take care of one at a time and their attacks don't overlap with each other's in undodgeable ways. I do find it a little hard getting Spark Shock under Air Man's tornadoes, but that's a skill issue honestly.

This run beats the previous normal record, megabanana's 1:44. For improvements, I think the double boss fight can be improved a good amount if you can manage to accurately shoot Spark Shock better. Also, I feel like there has to be a better solution to some of those Hot Dog rooms than Rain Flush. Maybe Homing Sniper would work?
