In this Skul the Hero Slayer video, I'll be using Mage with an Ability Spam Items strategy! Mage is a character who went from terrible to amazing in my mind as soon as I understood what makes him tick. Mage's main issue is his high skill casting time; when he casts a skill he's stuck in place for a decent amount of time, and this leads to him being vulnerable to taking accidental damage. The way around this is simple: either scale the Skill Cooldown and Attack Speed Arachne Shrine and/or Manatech 3, and that's all he needs to pop off. Once mage is there, he becomes an extremely powerful ability spammer, which is today's run, Ability Spam Items! Ability Spam Items is one of my favorite archetypes to play, and one of the stronger in the game as well. It centers around what it sounds like, casting skills and items proccing.
