In this episode of Skul the Hero Slayer, I'll be using Genie with a Bone focused strategy! Genie is a character whose main gimmick is centered around being invincible! I've always been a fan of this guy, but he's definitely had his bumps in the community perception of him. Back in the day Genie was widely disliked because his dash was janky, but people simply didn't realize the way you're meant to dodge damage on Genie is with his skills. Every skill Genie has makes him invincible to all damage, and this makes him quite useful for even newer players struggling to beat the harder bosses. Genie's issue is that his base damage is actually quite low, and makes it difficult for him to truly pop off. This usually means the partner choice is pretty damn important for Genie, but when a Genie run is built well they are quite good. The other factor on this run is Bone! Bone is an inscription on, you guessed it, Bone items. It centers around allowing you to swap more often, which as much as y'all know I like swapping you'd think I'd like the inscription more. The issue with Bone is ultimately it doesn't pop off until you enhance it, so for most of your run it's easy to find yourself struggling for damage. Also, it generally depends on high roll items such as Bone Box, Bone Clone, and Thirteenth Bone. So, that's today's run, Genie and Bones! Joined by Monkey, can these two overcome this cursed run?
