[Mage] Daggerfall Unity [29] | A Warlock's Journies | Undead Nobles | The Forbidden Scroll
Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have been sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Order of Arkay.
Strangeblood went back to The Mages' Guild in Menevia to investigate further only to find out that he'd been awarded the honour of being promoted to the rank of Warlock, securing himself the ability to summon Daedra on specific days of the year.
He then asked for jobs and got the first one to slay an undead noble that woke up at her own funeral and bit another noble. Unfortunately, the noble was a vampire and they don't know that the person who's been bitten will probably turn out to be a vampire as well. Regardless, it was a difficult battle for Strangeblood and he had to run more than he could fight simply because she was far too powerful for him. In the end, though, he did manage to put her to an eternal rest.
He then got his next quest in the form of retrieving a forbidden scroll from a nearby dungeon called Woodton Tower. Strangeblood was warned against reading the scroll. After a bit of searching, he found a curiously small pouch in a room in the dungeon. Within the pouch was the scroll that he was searching for, but he was careful to not read it.
He teleported to the Archagister to deliver the forbidden scroll and as a result, received an Iron Dai-Katana of Iron Will. He then left the Mages' Guild behind for some time and began wondering about what he should do next.
