Magic Duplication Trick in Final Fantasy III (NES) - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
In Final Fantasy III for the NES or Famicom, there's a way to duplicate Magic Spells into your inventory, and since you can sell Magic just like any other kind of item, this glitch is very useful for gaining a ton of money as soon as you can find the Sight spell.
When you enter a character's Magic menu, you have the option to remove spells from a character's spell list using the Item command. When you use the Item command from the Magic menu, removed spells will be placed into your inventory.
However if you use the Item command to remove spells from a character's Magic list, then cast the Sight spell BEFORE you leave that character's Magic menu (that is, before you exit to the main Start Menu) the game will show you a map of the surrounding area - which is exactly what the Sight spell is supposed to do - and upon leaving the map screen, you'll be sent back to the main menu. Now your character will still have all his spells equipped as if you never removed them, but these same spells will ALSO appear in your inventory as if you DID remove them.
In other words, you will have your spells duplicated into your inventory. This process can be repeated as long as you can cast the Sight spell. In the example shown in the video, I spent about one whole minute duplicating spells until I had nine copies of the Cure2 magic, which I then sold to a vendor for 6750 gil. That's a lot of money considering I was only about an hour into the game (and I play slowly).
