In Mega Man 3 for the NES, there's a weird glitch you can abuse to give your Mega Buster bullets the properties of other weapons. It sounds weird, but using this glitch, you can instantly defeat the Mega Man clones with just one bullet.

Normally when Mega Man has a bullet of any weapon type on screen, it is impossible to pause the game and open up your weapons menu. The exception to this rule, however, is that you CAN pause the game and open up your weapons menu if Mega Man is currently using a Rush ability and his P bullets are on the screen.

For some reason, if Mega Man has a Rush ability equipped and shoots a bullet, you can then open up your menu and switch to another weapon power while that bullet is in the field of play, and doing so will replace that bullet's properties with whatever weapon you switch to.

So for example, if you're using Rush Coil and you shoot a few shots, then pause and change your power to Top Spin, whatever target those bullets hits will be affected as if you're hitting it with Top Spin. That's why this glitch is often called the Top Spin Bullets trick.

The glitch works with other weapons, but the example shown in the video is the most impressive, in my opinion. And now you don't have to get close to your enemy to hit it with Top Spin! Note that this trick does not require you to use any weapon energy from either your Rush Ability or your Top Spin power (or whatever weapon you're switching to).
