Overview

Magic Touch: Wizard for Hire is a fun filled adventure game where you need to defend a castle from invading enemies, the enemies will descend from the skies using balloons, you need to pop those balloons to send those enemies splattering to the ground, you will play the game as a wizard and you need to cast spells by drawing symbols on the screen to pop those balloons, it won't be easy though as there are a lot of enemies in the game and the enemies drop down with multiple balloons on their backs each one having different symbols, and if you're not fast enough, the castle will be overwhelmed in no time and it's game over for you, no worries though as there's quite a lot of help available for you to use in the game, like powerups and some cool new features that you can unlock, but they cost a lot of coins though so you need to save a lot in order to use them...or you can just buy them through IAPs and unlock everything there is to unlock, the game is fun and to tell you honestly quite frantic as you'll find yourself scribbling those symbols in a hurry when the enemies come falling down.

Graphics and Sound

Magic Touch: Wizard for Hire has very simple graphics, everything looks very simple here, from the characters to the environments, everything is presented in a cartoony manner, although the game is pretty much detailed it somehow lacks the finer textures needed for bigger screens, the jagged edges will certainly show if played on tablets or similar devices, it looks quite nice on smaller devices though, like mobile phones...anyway, colors are great, it is certainly bright and vivid and really soft to the eyes, animations are also smooth, no lagging or anything, music and sounds are also cool, and fits the game just right and certainly makes it fun filled, special effects are also good enough, nothing fabulous but certainly pretty enough and adds up to the fun factor, overall, the game is really pretty considering its cartoony presentations.

Gameplay

Magic Touch: Wizard for Hire is a fun filled gesture based game where you need to trace the symbols on your device to pop up the balloons, it will start out simple and easy but soon more enemies will drop from the sky in a more frequent manner not to mention they'll be having more balloons at their backs and dropping down from the skies on a faster rate which makes the gameplay quite frantic, fortunately, there are cooler powerups that you can use in the game, they cost coins though, you can slow down time if you want, summon a mystical dragon, cover the entire castle floor on fire, turn the castle turrets into powerful gun turrets, turn the enemies into frogs and many more, indeed, you will be well armed, but it still won't be easy though, and if you don't cast the spells in time, the castle and its inhabitants will be doomed for sure.

Features

Magic Touch: Wizard for Hire features a fun filled and frantic gesture based gameplay, it has simple but pretty cartoony graphics, there are a lot of spells to learn, a lot of powerups to use, and a lot of enemies to eliminate that will descend from the sky above.

Conclusion

Magic Touch: Wizard for Hire the game is quite fun as the gesture based controls are quite easy to execute, it is those powerups that gave me a headache, they are really hard to use most of the time, the powerups should be made simpler...I mean what's the point of using a life saver if you can't use it properly?
