Graphics and Sounds

Blocky Roads has beautifully rendered voxel graphics, for those of you who doesn't know voxel graphics is, simply look at minecraft...it certainly look very much like it, anyway, the game is in blocks, from the characters to the cars and the environments, everything is simply blocky, colors are great though, it is really vibrant and bursting with lush colors, quite soft and cool to look at, animations are also nice, although the cars are made of blocks and quite bulky, they still moved smoothly across the rough terrain, music and sounds are cool too, it has a nice funky music, nothing atmospheric or explosive but still nice to listen to as it is upbeat and makes the game more fun to play, special effects on the other hand are simple, nothing flashy really but the game still managed to look great, overall, it looks pretty enough because of its vibrant colors and pretty designs.

Gameplay

Blocky Roads is actually more on driving than racing as there are no opponents here and with all honesty, speeding up won't get you too far here, fuel is limited in the game and if you run out of it, its game over for you, the cars can be upgraded however, you can improve its stats, even the fuel tank capacity, the tracks are rough and tumble, you need to balance the car by applying accelerators and brakes, too much accelerator will lift its front end, and too much brake will lift its rear end, a nice balance between the two is most favorable, there are also collectibles along the way, like fuel to make the car run, chests and coins which you can later use to buy upgrades that will make the drive more exciting and fun filled.

Blocky Roads features beautifully crafted voxel art graphics, there are 9 cars available, each one can be upgraded to make it more fun to drive, there are also 12 tracks to beat in the game, you can even customize your own character to make it cooler and make up and design your own car in the car editor.

Conclusion

Blocky Roads is really fun but too easy for the more experienced players, but this would be great for the younger players especially those players who dig minecraft like games, check it out and have some fun.
