Man of Medan (PS4) - Ep05 - J. P. Edgar Plays
0Author J. P. Edgar plays games he has never played before. This time, it's "Man of Medan," the first of "The Dark Pictures" anthology on the PS4, where we continue our second run-through by picking only the bottom-right options. And this time, we have Brad instead of Conrad, Fliss and Brad create the distraction to escape the locked room, the two go for the distributor cap in the cargo bay, both get captured, the cargo bay isn't working for Julia, open the casket to a pair of cuddly skele-bois, poke a corpse (why, Alex? Why?), Danny freaks out with Brad and Fliss, they start stumbling across one dried out corpse after another, Brad starts to Groundhog's Day as he goes through the same hall over and over again where he loots the same body time and time again but finds a different bullet each time, Alex goes all zombie mode and swipes at Brad, some WTF moments where we died (?) and now we're back. What just happened?
Fliss returns to the fancy dining room, investigates a fountain of blood, uncovers a casket filled with blood, and discovers a new coffin that magically appears. This coffin is filled with sacks of green ooze, indicating that, in addition to the info we found in a book, the lower decks of the ship are filled with hallucinogens.
Brad tries to wrench Fliss. She gives chase.
Meanwhile, Julia and Alex wander the cargo hold, where Hammer Man breaks the catwalk, drown Alex, yah-de-dah. Let's see, what else is different? Ah, yes. All four of them group back up and flee the area and have a meeting in the weather station.
Alex gets a radio message out on a battery that's been running for at least 60 years, Brad tries to step up but Alex belittles him, Julia and Alex search for the generator, Junior doesn't want Alex or Julia to change, but he changes Alex's skull.
Brad hears gunshots and follows Alex and Julia's route, finds Hammer Man, who busts open a bulkhead door and floods the area, grabs the cap and runs, a heavy door smashing down on Hammer Man. And even though I screwed up a couple of inputs, BRAD LIVES!
The crew meet up on the upper decks, power up the Duke of Milan, and sail off into the sunrise. Then Conrad returns, standing on the bow of a coast guard manning a mounted heavy machine gun. And when he boards the vessel and goes to the lower decks.
