Maniac is how i always played GTA 1 and 2 as a kid, since i had no idea it was about fulfilling missions and progressing a story.
So i drove around collected weapons and destroyed as much as i could before i got busted.

Now combine this with roguelite elements and you get Maniac.
Where you just do that and you get points and money for that.
With the money you can buy upgrades to make your next run easier, or better said, you get further into the game.

It's a fun little game for a little price.
