Mario Kart 64 - Special Cup 150cc
0If the Star Cup was already hard enough, the Special Cup is even more challenging in 150cc, and this is the final cup in 150cc. I play as Luigi in this video, and the tracks for this one are DK's Jungle Parkway, Yoshi Valley, Banshee Boardwalk, and Rainbow Road. I do not like Banshee Boardwalk, it is one of my least favourite tracks in the game, and Yoshi Valley is very confusing on 150cc, and there is Rainbow Road, which is a very long and tricky course if you can be careful of the Chain Chomp.
As with the ones that returned to later Mario Kart games, Banshee Boardwalk was in Mario Kart DS, DK's Jungle Parkway is in Mario Kart Wii, and both Yoshi Valley and Rainbow Road were brought back in Mario Kart 8, and I like how they improved Yoshi Valley in that game.
After completing the Special Cup in 150cc, you get to view the Credits, which shows off all 16 of the tracks, and when the credits end, you have to turn off your system or reset the game, and you do unlock something very special when you have completed every cup on 150cc. The whole thing with having to turn off your console when the credits end was kind of a thing in most Nintendo 64 games, this was the case in Super Mario 64. The Mario Kart 64 Grand Prix is done, but there might still be some things waiting for us, which I will check out next time.
