A remake of the NES version of Donkey Kong, built in GameMaker 6 and boasting new features and gimmickry to expand upon the original gameplay. This mostly manifests in unpredictable hazard behaviour, like barrels rocketing at lightning speed, springs with extremely nebulous dropzones, and DK no-scoping you when he feels like it.

The visuals are a mish-mash of prerendered elements from different sources, and hit detection across the board is wishy-washy. Getting points for jumping over barrels is a crapshoot, seemingly because of ladders 'interrupting' Mario's jump, and the plumber slips and slides like a colourful simile. Hammers also appear to produce an excess of barrels; the game pauses when they are destroyed, but not DK's timer, so he queues up more and more barrels the more times the game pauses. It's a fun personal challenge, but probably not intended...!

The game records high scores, and its fiendish patterns and wonky controls are a draw for challenge-heads, but it's not exactly a replacement for any official versions of arcade Donkey Kong.
