Sorry for all the Caps, but the name of the Game on Steam is:

MARSUPILAMI - HOOBADVENTURE, which is a Sidescrolling 3D Platformer, or maybe a 2.5D Platformer, but in 3D.
I never was much of a Donkey Kong player, but the game totally feels like a Donkey Kong game, from the controls, from the level layout, the collectibles and even in some enemy types. So far the game got a great difficulty curve, it shows you the moves you use them in the later levels, and the challenges get more and more difficult.

The main goal in this game, is to reach the end of the level. Secondary (optional) Goal is to collect all, as many feathers as you can. They unlock bonus levels and new things in the Galery. So yeah you can totally ignore the exploration and speedrun each level, even more so, since you can unlock the Time Trial mode after completing a level.

Overall the gamedesign is very bright and positive, so it's perfect for a younger audience, that got some experience with platformer games. As adult i don't mind if it looks like this, i got my edgy "this is for kids" phase way behind me. I will still mark this Video as for kids, for the overall presentation of the game. Also the regular price is relative cheap, for what you get.
