Gravity Circuit
Get the Game here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/858710/Gravity_Circuit/
Gravity Circuit plays mostly like MegaMan Zero, since you got a Melee and a medium ranged attack. But aside that you dash, slide, trash robots and looking for secrets. So for those who don't know MegaMan Zero, here a further explanation to Gravity Circuit.
It's a sidescrolling Platformer, where you dodge attacks and stage hazards. Falling down a Pit doesn't kill you here, but you receive a big chunk of damage. Also there are often walls, that you can destroy and find secret portions of the map. Here you can find citizen, that you can collect/rescue and additionally does each stage contain either a health or energy upgrade.
Health is selfexplanatory, but it exist. Means that you don't die from a single hit. You take damage according to the damage that the attack does and you are invulnerable for a few moments. But you shouldn't get hit too often, since enemies only drop a currency and energy pellets, so no healing items. But some stages do have healing items laying around.
Energy gets refilled mostly by defeating the enemies and collecting the pellets. If you have enough energy collected, it fills a energy bar which means you can use a special attack with it. The special attacks can be bought from a Vendor/Trainer at the HQ. You start off with 4 special attacks that you can buy (if you got enought metal/currency), but by defeating the Stage bosses, you can buy two additional special attacks.
Some of them are really useful, like the healing ability, or a screenwide attack, that does a little damage to everything on the screen.
The Game isn't easy, even if i played through it once, i had so many troubles with the first boss, that i left the stage, but used the currency and rescued people to upgrade myself. After i had these upgrades, the boss was easier to defeat. But this shows, that you can leave the stage and still keep your progress. Replaying the Stage isn't that big of a deal, since you need to collect the scrap metal anyway. The more bosses you have deafeated, the easier the game gets. So it's weirdly difficult at the start, but gets better later on.
On the sections where i increased the playback speed i used two songs that i bought on Gamedev Market. If you're interested, you can purchase the Album here: https://www.gamedevmarket.net/asset/16-bit-fm-chiptune-pack/
