Ooof. For real though. This game's Marvel representations are just off enough to act like they are avoided copyright. We all get it. The MCU is not the end all, be all of characters. I mean look at Michael Clark Duncan as the Kingpin. Not every movie iteration of a character "sticks". Sometimes changes stick (Nick Fury), sometimes they don't (DD's Kingpin). That being said, I feel the MCU Avengers movies got it right because they faithfully came close to representing the comics. This game? Kinda hit or miss. I mean what's up with Hubcaps and Tactical Dadbod? Hulk seems fairly spot on but Blork Widow and Tont Stank's suit are just slightly off enough to bug you. As for the gameplay, it looks fun enough. It seems Sqaure is doing a good job of representing the "power fantasy" of the characters. Seeing Hulk's sonic boom clap is rather iconic from other games and movies. The rumor is the game is a bit too "on rails" but it's hard to say if that will stick. We've got about 3/4 of a year before we play this so maybe it will continue to be refined.
