Recently, Apex Legends held a timed event called Iron Crown. During this event, the big "trophy" of it all was an axe called Raven's Bite. To get it, you had to open 24 lootboxes. Only 2 of them came from playing the challenge and the rest had to be bought. 2 out of 24.....Then, at the end of the 24 items you need, they didn't GIVE you the axe, it only unlocked and you had to PAY for it. Community backlash was strong and when the devs offered a "fix", they got chewed up and spat out. The problem is, 2 Respawn employees fired back (dko5 and jay_fresh) and made things worse. Now dko5 has an over 8 THOUSDAN downvote count over just 2 replies. Say what you want about the toxicity of the fanbase calling dko5 a "pussy" or making fun of his car and all, devs should NOT respond in kind.

My point here is neither dev seems to be in hot water with Respawn/EA. Their CEo apologized but we see no public action. Conversely, Jessica Price was fired super fast last year for her attack fans the way dko5 and jay_fresh did. When you represent something greater than yourself, you should not stoop to act like the common man in situations like this. I'm sure we will not see this type of replies from Respawn in the future.
